Amir Khusro was born in 1253 at a place called Patiali in Etah, Uttar Pradesh. His father’s name was Turk Saifuddin and his mother was an Indian Muslim. Amir Khusro was a Lachan caste Turk.

Composition
In 1289 AD, the composition of Amir Khusrau Masnavi Kiranussadain. Jalaluddin Khizli was made the Sultan of Delhi after the Ghulam dynasty. He honored Khusrau with the title of Amir.

Composed a book named Miftolfatah in praise of Jalaluddin, later Jalaluddin’s nephew honored him with the title of state poet. Amir Khusro composed five books, they are as follows- Mallol Anwar, Shireen Khusro, Majnu Laila, Aine-e-Sikandari, Hasht Vishht etc., these books later became famous as Panch-Ganj.
